At Convention in 2012, Gamma Phi Beta announced our new philanthropic focus: Building Strong Girls. As advocates for women, our organization envisions a community where every girl and woman has the skills to succeed in life. Our Sorority’s new philanthropic focus expresses our philanthropic mission, to provide experiences and resources that build spiritual, mental and social resiliency in girls, in today’s world.
In addition to a new philanthropic focus, the Sorority also announced its newest philanthropic partner – Girls on the Run.
The Beta Omicron chapter of Gamma Phi Beta is active in all of Gamma Phi Beta’s philanthropies as well as the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. This local philanthropy is held very close to our hearts at Beta Omicron, in honor of sisters who have both won and lost the fight with ovarian cancer from our own chapter.
Our biggest fundraiser for these philanthropies is Pancake Palooza. It is such a popular fundraiser, we have one once each semester. $5 for all you can eat pancakes, and priceless memories! All funds are donated to our philanthropies.
